SAFE Activists brings together publishers, writers, activists, technologists and human-rights organisations to develop practical tools and shared knowledge for people facing risk in their home countries and in the diaspora.
We work across different disciplines because repression does too. Digital security, censorship, harassment, surveillance, information manipulation and pressure on people in exile rarely exist in isolation. Effective responses often require technical knowledge, lived experience, documentation, research and trusted networks working together.
Why we do not publish a team list
We are careful about how we describe the people behind this work because safety matters — particularly for people living under threat, supporting individuals inside repressive states, or working with sensitive information.
That does not mean the project is anonymous or unaccountable.
Organisations and individuals who contact us can speak directly with members of the project, and where appropriate we can arrange conversations with organisers, technical contributors or people the SAFE Pack and other resources are designed to support.
How we work
Our aim is practical rather than institutional.
We develop projects collaboratively, test ideas with people who face the risks we are trying to address, and share tools and knowledge that others can adapt to their own circumstances.
SAFE Activists is built around collaboration, trust and practical solidarity.
